Two Recently Completed ÒùЦ½ºþ ÒùЦ½ºþ are Finalists for 2024 ACGMO Keystone Awards
The SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital Behavioral Health Urgent Care and the Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center at the Missouri Botanical Garden are both finalists for the 2024 ACGMO Keystone Awards! These awards honor exceptional achievements in Missouri’s construction industry, celebrating projects that address unique challenges and contribute significantly to enhancing quality of life.
The SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital Behavioral Health Urgent Care facility marks a pivotal step in mental health services for the St. Louis area. Designed to provide thorough support for patients dealing with mental health conditions, the facility was renovated of existing hospital space to create a dedicated space for urgent behavioral health care. Additional work included the replacement of the Epic training room and physical therapy rooms. This project exemplifies ÒùЦ½ºþ’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and accessibility.
The Jack C. Taylor Visitor Cetner at the Missouri Botanical Garden is a symbol of innovation and sustainability. Spanning 91,700 SF it includes an event center, gift shop, meeting spaces, a restaurant with garden views, an auditorium, and a conservatory. The project also included the renovation of the Linnean House, the oldest, continuously operating public greenhouse west of the Mississippi. The design strategically integrates plant beds around the entry, immersing visitors in the environment from the moment they arrive. Accessibility improvements, such as additional parking, barrier-free restrooms, and assistive technology, significantly enhance the ability to accommodate a higher visitor flow, and to connect people with plants and nature.
