Building a state-of-the-art medical campus for exceptional healing and education
New academic medical center
Building on our long-standing relationships with SSM Health and Saint Louis University, ÒùЦ½ºþ constructed the new SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital Medical Campus Renewal project. The project featured a 602,000-square-foot hospital with 316 private patient rooms, a Level I trauma center and emergency department, large intensive care units, and other patient amenities. The campus also included a 200,000-square-foot ambulatory care center, garage, and green spaces.
Exceptional healing and world-class education
In addition to serving the healthcare needs of the community, the facility serves as a teaching hospital for Saint Louis University. The design incorporates numerous elements to promote instruction, including expanded hallways for doctors and residents to meet informally. The hospital also features green space and natural light to create a healing environment for patients.
Collaborative lean construction
To achieve the project’s aggressive design and construction schedule, the team used collaborative, lean construction methods. This encouraged cooperation, transparency, and innovation to enhance collaboration, increase value, and minimize waste.
